JOAQUÍN HOMS STUDIO – OBJECTIVE DESIGN
Focused on furniture and interior design, it was established in 2004 as a result of the collective of architects conformed by Joaquin Homs and Alejandro Villegas. Their collaboration with Grupo Aha Universo stands out among the main achievements of the firm. In such collaboration, they carried out the interior design of Grupo Vidanta and the creation of more than 500 projects including the hotel industry, lobbies, front desks, restaurants, bars, gyms, spas and suites. Their work at the Gran Mayan Hotel in Los Cabos, earned them the Gold Medal of the Interior Design and Architecture Biennial of the Mexican Society of Interior Designers (SMI) 2009. Also in collaboration with Grupo Aha Universo, they were involved in the interior design of Cirque du Soleil Joya Theatre, in the Mayan Riviera.
Joaquín Homs
Joaquín Homs holds a degree in architecture from the University of Guadalajara (1984). He stands out for having a contemporary style. Over his 30 years of experience and among his greatest professional achievements, it is worth mentioning his participation as a designer at the Salone del Mobile (Milan, Italy), along with his 14 years of work in the hotel industry interior design for Mayan and Vidanta Groups. He is part of the designers of Point, a Valencian furniture firm, and he has designed their stand in two editions of the Salone del Mobile in Milan, where his collections Piñata, Sarape, Icpalli and Armadillo have been displayed.
