Joaquín Homs is characterized by its contemporary design. But what is contemporary for this Tapatío architect who has 35 years of intense work in interior design? "For me it is the actuality, what one lives now. It is this moment enriched, of course, with elements of the past. Technology modifies the ways of designing, allows other forms that could not be reached before," he defines.

Homs recognizes that there are many "philosophical issues that always accompany architecture." In the University of Guadalajara he studied with teachers who taught him to deepen in architectural theory. Homs has had the opportunity not only to travel and philosophize, but also to apply what he learned and experience. Proof of this was a project designed for Grupo Mayan and Vidanta that went beyond paper: the first theater of Cirque du Soleil outside Canada, in the Riviera Maya. “The theme was fun, it was fun, play and surprise yourself. We were able to understand another type of architecture and design.”

The architect describes his office in Guadalajara as a place where there is concern to understand what is happening internationally. "We feel happy because the results of what we do allow us to see that we are at the same level as any part of the world," he says. This interior design office has crossed borders, including those between disciplines, such as furniture design.
